From April 13 to October 13 of next year, the OSAKA 2025 fair will take place, exactly in THE KOBE CRUISE LUMINOUS KOBE 2 (Kobe-City, Hyogo), on Yumeshima Island, an artificial island that is being built for this event; different countries and companies will have the opportunity to present themselves in front of millions of visitors, exactly about 28 million that are being considered.

The city of Osaka has high expectations for Expo 2025 as it is expected to boost tourism, the local economy and the city's global image. Local and national authorities have been working on several fronts to ensure the success of the event.

In the field of Infrastructure and Transportation, significant investments are being made in infrastructure to improve access to the island of Yumeshima, including the expansion of subway lines and the construction of new roads and bridges, since being an artificial island Created for this event, the access forms must be able to work under the demand of people who will come to the fair.

Likewise, Kansai International Airport and Itami Airport are expected to handle a significant increase in air traffic, so improvements are being implemented to facilitate the flow of visitors. Apart from the high number of tourists they normally receive.

Regarding Sustainability and the Environment, EXPO 2025 will focus on sustainability, with plans to build pavilions and other facilities using green technologies and sustainable materials. Participating countries and companies can decide whether they want to be in a pavilion per country or together, for example, the Nordic countries will have their own joint pavilion, while other countries, such as Chile, will join a Pavilion as a whole.

And likewise, taking into account the social norms of Japan regarding the issue of garbage and recycling, recycling and waste management initiatives are being promoted to minimize the environmental impact of the event.

Regarding security and logistics, keeping in mind that there are an estimated 28 million visitors from all over the world, and without counting the delegations of the countries, for Japan security is a top priority, therefore, it will implement advanced measures security and surveillance to protect visitors and participants.

Expo Osaka 2025 is projected to have a significant economic impact on the Kansai region and Japan in general. World exhibitions have historically served as catalysts for economic and social development, and Expo 2025 will be no exception. Likewise, it is expected to highlight all the countries and companies that will be in their pavilions, as has been the case in previous editions. This economic increase will be supported by tourism, as it will benefit not only the city of Osaka, but also the surrounding regions, generating significant income for the hotel industry, restaurants, retail trade and other services.

The development and operation of EXPO 2025 will generate a considerable number of direct and indirect jobs. Since it is estimated that the preparation and the event itself could create more than 200,000 jobs in sectors such as construction, hospitality, transportation and retail, this without counting the volunteers who can register from all over the country.

Innovation and international cooperation will be relevant factors for the development of this fair. This Expo will serve as a "Living Laboratory" where different technological innovations will be presented and tested. This exhibition will allow Japanese and international companies to showcase their most advanced technologies in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, renewable energy and sustainability. In addition, it will encourage collaboration between companies, governments and non-governmental organizations, promoting the development of innovative solutions to global problems.

The legacy of Expo Osaka 2025 includes not only tangible improvements in infrastructure and employment, but also an increase in Osaka's reputation and attractiveness as a tourism destination and innovation hub. The world exhibition will strengthen international relations and position Osaka and Japan as leaders in creating a sustainable and technologically advanced society.

Currently, Colombia participated in the International Meeting of Participants Summer 2024, which took place in Nara on June 25 and 26. It is expected that in the coming months the topics related to the pavilion and the theme they will choose to make the country known to all visitors will be confirmed.
